The Cardboard Shelves

While I was thinking of getting a wooden shelf made for arranging my stuffs, I got an idea, why not to use the card boards. So I went for the later and finally this was what I ended up with, for now.
So let us see how I did it.

Step 1: Strengthening the Core

So first of all, obviously, you need to measure the place where you wanna adjust the shelves.
Next,
>>Cut the shelves out of cardboard as per measured, two of each size. No problem if you don't have a full length cardboard, you can have a joint.
>> Now as you can see in the image, you just need to glue up some cardboard stripes perpendicularly (note* try to keep it in a bit slanting manner) and of same width. Remember you need to have the stripes width almost same to avoid non uniformity in the final output, and you can keep the width whatever you wish (again obvious :) ) .
>> After filling the core, close it from the other side.

Step 2: Sketching the Base Support

I have made a three layered structure. This can provide massive strength from the bottom. You can add any number of layers as per your own requirements. Although the shelves are itself very strong still this will add up great strength from the bottom.

Step 4: Building the Base Support Type 2

This is for the upper shelf. Since i didn't made it of full size so i needed a support like this. You can try some other designs too. This is just a demonstration of basics.
>> Again, I made it two layered, you can go for whatever suits your need.

Step 5: Final Adjustments

Just put the slabs one by one. The image shows what mine looks like.
Well, this is not something too good looking as of now, you must add up some of your creativity to it. And don't forget to share your versions of cardboard slabs with me : ).
