Introduction: The Mexican Breakfast Sandwich
I am Daniel Bueno, a high school student at the American School Foundation of Monterrey and this is my first ever instructable. I have always liked cooking with my parents and learning new recipes every now and then. I love how cooking is an activity that no matter how old you are or how you look, everyone can do it. That is a reason why I enjoy cooking, but my favorite part is how you will never run out of challenges, and how much room of improvement there is. I will be sharing my fun journey and showing you how to make the same delicious sandwich I made.
This right here is the Mexican Breakfast Sandwich!!! trust me, it is delicioso. It is not only so good, but it is simple and very easy to make. This sandwich will wake you up and begin your day the best way possible. It is time to bring the Mexican side to any home in the mornings. Let your day begin with a spicy egg sandwich.
Step 1: Gather the Ingredients and Tools Needed
1) 2 Pieces of White Bread
2) 1 Egg
3) Salsa (either green or red)
4) Refried Beans
5) 2 cups
Step 2: Beans and Salsa
Place two tablespoons of refried beans in a cup and warm them up in the microwave for 20 seconds.
Just like the beans, place a quarter of a cup of salsa in a cup and warm it up in a microwave for 20 seconds.
Step 3: Toast Your Bread
For your sandwich's base, get your white bread and place two pieces in a toaster and heat it up until it is medium toasted.
Step 4: Getting the Pan Ready
For your egg, you will need to spray some PAM on a pan, and put it on the stove on medium heat.
Step 5: Spreading the Beans
While your pan is heating up, use a butter knife to spread warm beans on your toasted pieces of bread.
Step 6: Over Easy Egg
Time to cook an over easy egg!
1) Once the pan is warm, crack your egg open and place it in the on the pan without the yolk breaking.
2) Once the egg white is cooked, turn the egg over and wait 20 seconds.
Step 7: Sandwich Coming Together
Once the over easy egg is well cooked, take it with a spatula and place it on top of one of your pieces of bread with beans. MAKE SURE THE YOLK DOESN’T POP!!... yet.
Step 8: Bring in the Salsa
Get your cup of warm salsa and with a spoon place as much as liked on top of the over easy egg. Make sure you truly get the Mexican side of the sandwich and make it SPICY.
Step 9: The Signature Move
To finish the delicious Mexican Breakfast Sandwich, poke the egg yolk open from the over easy egg to get a delicious taste of breakfast and egg spread all over the sandwich. To top it all off, place the remaining piece of bread on top.
Step 10: ENJOY!
You can also not only eat this like a sandwich, but if you don't like getting your hands dirty, or you would rather get more taste of the inside ingredients. This sandwich is very easy to cut into pieces and eat it like if it was a pancake!
