Introduction: The Spanish Tortilla

Spanish tortilla:

  • Ingredients : 
    five Eggs,
    five small Potatoes,
    two small onions, quartered and thinly sliced,
    Salt and pepper,
    Extra- virgin Olive oil

 

  • You also need :
    A plate,
    A deep frying pan (the plate and the deep frying pan must have the same diameter, (it’s easier)
    A whisk,
    A mixing bowl.

Step 1:

It’s a kind of omelette with potatoes.

 

  • First, you peel the potatoes. slice them thinly

  • Wash it.

Step 2:

 


  • Then, dry it with a dishcloth to fry it faster.

Step 3:


  • Tip a little of olive oil in a frying pan, and wait a minute. You should hear it sazzle when the frying pan is ready with the oil.

Step 4:


  • You fry it.

Step 5:


  • Then, peel an onion 

  • Fry it too !

Step 6:


  • Put the onion and the chips together in the deep fry, on a low heat.

  • After that, break the eggs and beat it as you do for an omelette.

Step 7:


  • Then, pour it all  in thepan on a high heat.

Step 8:


  • You have now to wait a minute (the same time as for an omelette).

  • At last, the” most difficult”: you have to take the plate and flip  the tortilla inside, and then slideit back in on the pan, on the other side.

 

Step 9:

And that's the result ! You can also present it as "tapas" to have a cocktail party.
