Introduction: Tiny Origami Mobile
I like Origami and I like tiny things, so I decided to make the smallest Origami I ever made.
Supplies
You need thin paper, scissors, a ruler, and I used tweezers for the
smaller folds. Later you will need some thin thread or wire, wooden sticks and a knife to cut the wood.
Step 1: Cut the Paper
Cut the paper to the right sizes. Some need squares, some need rectangles.
Step 2: Folding the Origami-items
Cut the paper to the right sizes. Some need squares, some need rectangles. I decided to go for a frog, a boat, a steamship, a butterfly, and my favourite, the crane. Here you see some of the steps along the way. The pointy tweezers became handy to reopen the piece in some steps.
Step 3: Poke Holes
Oh, now they all gathered!! For the next part I used a needle to make holes where the thread or wire will go. If you use bigger pieces, try to find the right balance so they don't tilt.
Step 4: Putting Everyting Together
I used thin wire that I took from a cable, because I didn't find the right thread. I attached it by forming a loop in the end of each wire so it stays under the belly of the items. As rods I peeled off some wood chips from a match and cut it to the right size and length.
Step 5: Done!
Unfortunately the wire makes a bit stiff, but still I'm happy about the outcome.
