Tribal Mask

Hello,

Today we are going to make a tribal mask . If you like my mask you can try out making it . It is in fact very easy.

Supplies

Air Hardening Clay , Snapp off Blade Knife , Rolling Pin , Acrylic Paint , Wet Cloth(to keep clay from drying) , A Curved Surface , Primer(If you're using a clay that's not white).

Step 1: Spreading the Clay

Take approximately 300 grams of the air hardening clay and make it into a ball . Using the rolling pin spread it out into a thickness of a sheet

Step 2: Cutting It

Cut-off a shape that looks like a face using the snap off blade knife . Add clay to the sides so that it looks realistic .Put this to a curved surface.

Step 3: Adding Facial Features

Take a bit more clay and make it into shapes of eyes , nose , lips , eyebrows , ears (which you feel looks interesting). Be creative with your work and make it look somewhat weird.

Step 4: Designing

Add extra stripes and other designs so that it makes your mask look like someone who would have worshipped by tribes.

Step 5: Painting It White( Avoid If You're Using White Colored Clay)

If you're any other color clay then use a primer to paint

the clay fully white since it makes painting on it with colors more easier.

Step 6: Finishing It

Give colors to your mask so that it is attractive

Giving colors can be done according to your wish , you can again creative with your work here. You don't need to copy what i have done

You can add nose stud , ear rings , crown for the mask , labret .etc. to make it look more interesting.
