Two Balancing Bats

Introduction: Two Balancing Bats

About: Hoping to win more Instructables T-Shirts!

Taking a break from complicated assembly and balance, Two Balancing Bats (one smaller and one larger) is another, yet much simpler venture into the Autodesk Fusion 360 feature "Center of Mass" calculation.

This Instructable is quite simple; print either or both bats at 100% infill, and the cone at 20% infill. Place the indent located at the bottom of either bat on tip of the cone, and give it a spin. It is very important to print the bats at 100% infill in order to maintain the correct center of mass (at anything less than 100% infill, your slicer infill pattern, as well as mine, is more than likely not balanced). The bats should balance on just about any small pointed object; a pencil, pen, or as shown in the video a round file in the tower mount of a prototype Octopus from "SS OhNo" (https://www.instructables.com/id/SS-OhNo/).

I've included all files, this time including the Autodesk Fusion 360 file "Two Balancing Bats.f3d"that will enable you to load into Autodesk Fusion 360 in order to examine, modify and/or improve the design steps I executed in the design of Two Balancing Bats. While I'm still learning Autodesk Fusion 360, I truly welcome any and all input into the design process of Two Balancing Bats in order to improve upon my efforts at this and future designs.

As usual, I probably forgot a file or two or who knows what else, so if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask as I do make mistakes in plenty.

Designed using Autodesk Fusion 360, sliced using Cura 2.5, and printed in PLA on an Ultimaker 2+ Extended and an Ultimaker 3 Extended.

Nice work. I really like it and would like to do it.
Kind request can you make a video on designing these structures in fusion 360.
I am also new to fusion, so that i can learn and try it.
