Introduction: Two Step - Delicious Overnight Oats Recipe

About: I am a Home Maker and a YouTuber. My YouTube channel's name is recipesbydaisy. I love cooking and gardening. I have posted dozens of video recipes on my YouTube channel.

This recipe only requires 5 minutes of prep work for a delicious breakfast. Do the prep a few minutes before bed and finish it with your choice of toppings in the morning!

Supplies

Base Ingredients:

- Oats - 1/2 cup

- Milk - 1/2 cup (can be your choice of plant based milk)

- Yogurt - 1/4 cup (Greek Yogurt recommended)

- Chia seeds - 1 tbsp

- Honey - 1 tbsp

- Vanilla Extract - 1/4 tsp

Topping Ingredients:

- Apple (diced) - 1/2 cup

- Cinnamon powder - 1/4 tsp

- Chia seeds - 1 tbsp

- Walnut (chopped) - 2 tbsp

- Blueberries - 1/4 cup

- Bananas (sliced) - 1/4 cup

- Dried Apricots - 1 tbsp (optional)

- Brown sugar - 1 tbsp (optional)

- Chocolate chip - 1 tbsp (optional)

Step 1: Prep Work

Place all base ingredients into a glass container and mix until combined.

Cover the glass container with a lid or plastic wrap.

Place the sealed container in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours or preferably overnight.

During the refrigeration process, all of the flavors will be absorbed and the result should be a little thicker than pancake batter. If needed, add milk, water, or yogurt to dilute or thicken the batter to desired results.

Step 2: Choose Your Toppings and Enjoy!

The topping selection(s) can be infinite. For breakfast, I like to include diced apples, mixed with brown sugar (on occasion) and cinnamon powder, layering with bananas, chopped walnuts, chia seeds, blueberries, and dried apricots.

For desserts, feel free to mix it up. Keep it the same or add chocolate chips, ice cream, pomegranate seeds, whipped cream .. - you are the creator!

Optional - if you'd like this to be warm, place in the microwave with a damp paper towel over the top and heat for 15-30 seconds depending on your microwave.
