Introduction: Using a Bench Power Supply.

To all of us electronics geeks, a variable power supply is invaluable. To create and test any electronic circuit, we need the right voltage and a suitable current limit.

I recently got my 30volt 10amp tekpower supply. So far I love it. Admittedly it's my very first variable power supply. I used several fixed supplies previously.

Step 1: Setting the Current Limit.

This is important since too much current will fry a circuit. Just turn the voltage and current knobs anticlockwise. The display will show cc for constant current. Short the output leads. Rotate the current knob clockwise to the desired level then unclip the leads.

Step 2: Setting the Voltage.

This part is easy. Just turn the voltage knob clockwise and set to the level required. Now the power supply is ready for action!
