Sandblasting is a so-called process in which the small particles at high speeds collide with the material, or by rubbing due to vibrations, and thus gently polish the exterior. Machines based on the first-mentioned method are very large and expensive and, therefore, we decided to make a table sanders, smaller dimensions, which will be based on the principle of vibration. It is true that this method is slower than the first, but it can achieve the same effect.

The sandblasting can easily remove any rust or other dirt and thus the workpiece, are prepared to paint, or other type of further processing. With a variety of sand and settings we can achieve various results of the overseas.

On The machine we installed two engines, which can be individually adjusted speed of rotation. This was achieved to easily reach the rotating blades and appropriate vibration. Since the long-term blasting was added to the fan, which cools the engine.

For the production of need:

- Microcontroller and circuitry

- Power supply 12V / 1,2- (depending on the motors)

- The fan and two motor unit (the motor must be large establishments)

- 4 springs

- A container (container shall be as light as possible)

- 3D printed parts

- Bolts, nuts and washers (It is recommended to glue the bolts or self-locking nuts)

- Supply cable

Step 1: How Its Made

In drawing it is recommended to use glue for screws.

The first selected container. The container should have an internal diameter of 20 cm or more of its walls to the thickness of about 3 mm. The container shall I be too heavy, as this influences the vibration. We are dishes made from iron strap and round. The tape was wrapped around the circle, welded and painted with a protective paint.

When choosing a spring must be taken that only those appropriate size, we choose the spring height of 75 mm and an internal diameter of 20 mm springs. Their strength is selected according to the weight of the container with a vibrator. It is recommended to use four springs, but can also be three or more.

3D printed model is placed in the middle and drilled 5 holes (hole diameter: 5mm). Depending on the number of the spring retainer springs arranged as close to the outer edge of the container and the drilled holes (6 mm diameter). The vibrator to be of container is spaced by 10 mm.

Step 2: How Its Made

The composition of the vibrator begin with "Part 1". On motors attached weights so that the weights (Part 5) first heats and printed on the motor axis. The holes on the weights of the user adjusted relative to the axis of the engine, while these should be less than the diameter of the axis of at least 0.5 mm. The motor is inserted into the bay and attach them to the "Part 2". In "Part 1" mounted fan, which turn to the blowing engines (4x M3). When we arranged all the dildo wires can be closed with a "Part 3" and "Part 4".

Step 3: How Its Made

We casing made from waste wood, which was cut pro in any form, by each other fasten with wood screws and painted. On the sides we add handles for easy transport. In housing, we drilled 3 holes, one for connection to the vibrator, the other for the power cord and the third on the first page of the control panel, which was affixed with silicone to the body.

Then we are all connected together, the bottom of tumbler we added a rubber plugs for better adhesion to the substrate.

Step 4: Circuit

The circuit is divided into two parts, the control module and the control panel. The circuit was first drawn through the program Sprint-layout and later with the help of cutter izrezkali. To control the engines we used h-bridge L298N because it is an affordable and meets all the needs of the machine '.

For the production of the control components are required:

- Arduino nano

- Pins female

- Pins male

- Fuses

- StepDown

- (speedey)

- 2x 270Ω

- PCB connector 2in

For the production of control panels we need:

- Nokina 5110 display

- Rotary encoder KY-040

- Key 12x12

- Pins female

- 2x LED

It is recommended that both the plate is first protected with a lacquer for soldering, because increasing the resistance of the circuit and allows easier soldering. Start with soldering the smallest components and continue towards increasing (resistors, pins, LED, ...). If desired, Display and rotary encoder zaspajkamo which the plate to keep the plate as narrow as possible but as the last ELEM, since the display pins for connection to the control panel. We have to be very careful with the keys and LEDs and how to translate how we face on the circuit, otherwise The machine will not operate.

Step 5: Circuit

When the control panel start with soldering bridges which are made from starh resistors or cut the foot of the old LEDs. Later zaspajkamo 270Ω resistors then men pine to put on them arduinota. When we are finalizing this part of the sequence only the stabilization of the voltage at 5V and connect to the power supply. Motors connected to the free pins that are at StepDownu. If you want to connect an buzzer whereby we must be careful how he faces. Four free Pinio the aruinotu the PWM, which is connected to the H-bridge. Between 12V and the required fuse that protects the motors and electronics.

Step 6: Program

When the tumbler powers on, the screen displays a menu that offers multiple options. In the first group there are presets that differ in duration and intensity of sanding. Under the second choice, however the user can set the duration and intensity of the process. You can controll the user interface by using the rotary encoder and two buttons.

When the machine starts to sandblast, the timer appears on the screen and begins to count down the remaining time of the process. When the timer reaches a value of 00:00:00, the spinning of the motors stops and the program returns to the main menu. The user can pause at any time durring the sanding process by clicking the right button, or completely stop the process and leave the program by clicking the left button. If the blasting is on pause, it is indicated on the screen. Continued blasting is achieved by clicking the right button again.

Step 7: How It Works

The container gel with sand-blasting. Sands may differ from one another and give us different effects. Sand gel with about 10 mm, if necessary, add or remove sand. When peskator connected to the voltage you'll see a menu with two possibilities:

- Presets:

This subprogram can choose between three predetermined programs

- Custom:

This subprogram can set the direction and power of each engine and duration of blasting

To achieve the desired results we need to try several types of sand and fine sand in a variety of settings. Sandblasting takes a lot of time, usually about 6 hours or more.
