Just destroy it

Step 1: My Camera Died, What Can We Recover?

for this you need
-a bad camera
-phillips screwdriver
-a lot of energy to destroy something

Step 2: What Can I Find Inside?

when disarming you will find
-A high voltage capacitor 330 volts, 56 uF
-Lenses, used as a magnifying glass or as an emergency fire lighter, for camping
-A screen, to sell it on ebay or amazon
-A mini motor, can be used in arduino or robotics projects.
-4 neodymium magnets. these are in the lens 2x8 mm
-Gold, on the memory card pins (14k)
-One battery, for 3.6 volts
-A mini speaker
-And a memory card

    I'm about to throw out an old broken camera, so thank you for posting. I'm inspired:- I hadn't thought about retrieving the flash capacitor.
    (You missed the tripod mounting fitment though)
