Introduction: White Chocolate Truffled Nutella Cookie Pops

About: I'm a graphic designer who loves to cook, craft and garden. I also have a blog where my husband and I write about wine, food and our wine-related travels and other experiences.

Easy 4-ingredient cookie pops for your favorite Valentines!

Step 1: Ingredients

• 5 tablespoons Nutella
• 20 Oreo cookies (or similar - I used Joe-Joe's)
• 10 oz white chocolate
• assorted Valentine's Day sprinkles

Step 2: Procedure

Add cookies to bowl of food processor and pulse until coarse crumbs form.

Step 3:

Add Nutella to bowl and process until a smooth mixture forms (about 1-2 minutes). Remove mixture to another bowl and refrigerate until stiff (1-2 hours).

Step 4:

Line a baking sheet with waxed paper. Once mixture is sufficiently chilled, start rolling it into equally sized balls (about a heaping 1/2 tablespoon each) and place on the sheet. Push the 2 balls together with small spatula, then pinch the bottoms into points with your thumb/finger. Smooth the tops and sides evenly with spatula. (Note: make sure the two balls are stuck together well when forming the heart shapes or they will separate later when inserting lollipop sticks.) Chill for about 1 hour.

Step 5:

Remove chilled heart shapes (one at at a time) from sheet with a flat butter knife and carefully insert lollipop sticks into bottom points of the hearts. Place each back onto the waxed paper-lined sheet and cover with another sheet of waxed paper. Freeze until hard (1-2 hours).

Step 6:

Assemble your frozen pops and decorations while melting the white chocolate on top of a simmering double boiler. Once chocolate is melted smooth, it's ready for dipping. (Note: chocolate sets up quickly once it comes in contact with the frozen hearts, so work quickly or your decorations won't adhere. Also, I used a butter knife to smooth the chocolate over bare spots after tapping off the excess chocolate.)

Step 7:

Decorate your pops to your heart's content. I did both sides of my pops, but it's not necessary. Place them back onto the wax papered sheet and either freeze (if you're in a hurry) or refrigerate until the pops harden. Once they are chilled enough to handle, start covering them with the little bags and close with a twisty. (Note: I didn't end up using the bags in my ingredients photo - they were too small so I cut down some V-Day treat bags, which I liked better anyway!)

Step 8: You're Done!

Assemble your cookie pops into Valentine containers or onto a plate or wide bowl. Then just sit back and wait for the oohs and aahs to roll in because all your Valentines are going to love these! No one will be able to resist the flavor combination of Nutella, Oreo's and white chocolate, I guarantee! (Note: this recipe makes 14 cookie pops)
