Introduction: Whitening Teeth

Who doesn't want a glamorous white smile? Using an Opalescence whitener gel
to whiten teeth will boost anyone's confidence!

Step 1:

Begin by brushing the teeth. Brush them by holding the toothbrush at a 45-degree angle towards the gum line; using a small circular motion to brush. Brush for approximately two minutes.

Step 2:

Next, place the whitener gel into the custom tray. Place the gel on the facial (the front part of your tooth) surface of the whitening tray. Only do this from bicuspid to bicuspid, the teeth between molars and canines. Use only a small amount of whitener gel, about the size of a sesame seed. Be sure to not fill the tooth.

Step 3:

Before placing the tray, dry the teeth. Use a paper towel or cloth to dry the teeth. Insert the tray by gently pushing it onto the teeth. If any gel oozes over the sides of the tray, lightly wipe it away using a toothbrush or finger. If the product sits on gum tissue it can cause a chemical burn. It is also important to not swallow the gel. If there is severe sensitivity, treatment should be stopped, and a dentist should be contacted.

Step 4:

After two to four hours of wearing the custom tray with whitening gel, remove the tray from the mouth. Brush teeth after removing the tray to brush away any excess gel that may be remaining on tooth surfaces. Brush the tray with a soft toothbrush. Use cool tap water while cleaning the tray as warm water could potentially ruin the custom tray.

Step 5:

Following
this procedure, it is important to know that whitening may cause sensitivity. Additionally, avoid foods that will stain teeth. If a food stains your clothing, it will also stain your teeth. Store whitening gel in a cool, dark place. Keep these products out of the reach of small children as well
