Introduction: Witches Stew - Halloween Trail Mix
This is something my mom and I would make when I was younger so I could bring it to school to share with my class. I remember I never wanted to give other people the "recipe" because I wanted it to be my thing. I think it is about time I stop being selfish and share this with everyone.

Just mix everything up and you have your stew!
I used to just bring it all in in one big bowl, but if you want to get it all ready to pass out, get little baggies with twist ties and dish up some servings. I've attached some tags to attach to the baggies so everyone knows exactly what they're eating.

Fantastic job! One question though, What are the witches broomsticks? They aren't mentioned in the list, but they are on the tag... Is it just me?

Ooops! Thanks for catching that! It was originally Bat Bones which were shoestring potatoes, but I couldn't find shoestring potatoes, so I bought pretzels and thought they looked more like broom sticks.

Replace the David's sunflower seeds with David's pumpkin seeds and it will be perfect!

I totally agree with you! Or at the very least put shelled sunflower seeds in the mix. Who wants to have to take the time to stop and shell sunflower seeds when eating trail mix type foods?

You make a good point. I just went with the recipe I had originally, but I've seen different variations of this and that's what's awesome. You can use whatever you want and you just need to think of some spooky name for the ingredients you use :)
