I knitted a beautiful poncho in Lion Brand Woolease Thick and Quick http://cache.lionbrand.com//yarns/we-thick.htm and had a bit of yarn left over, so decided to knit a matching hat. I used very long circular needs in size 10. The poncho pattern is from the Lion Brand Website. It's called Pretty Poncho and is very easy - straight up one side and down the other! http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/khs-prettyPoncho.html?noImages= I was originally written for knitting using Lion Brand Homespun, http://cache.lionbrand.com//yarns/homespun.htm but it converted well to Woolease Thick and Quick - no problem. However I wasn't sure how much yarn I would need as Thick and Quick is much bulkier. You only need 4 balls of Homespun, but I needed twice that amount for this one with a bit over for the hat! I didn't knit it with the hood, as I don't like the hood - and with my matching hat, it's not really necessary is it? It is beautifully warm.
