Introduction: Wreath Project

Hi, my name is Kasi Schlueter, I’m going to show you how to make a cute fall wreath to decorate your house. I am in the Child Development program at Lake Area Tech and have taken classes that have shown me how to be creative and use imagination to have fun crafts to make. I will show you step by step what you need and how to make the wreath.

With these simple steps, you now have a wreath that’s going to bring out fall in your home and have people asking where you got it.

Step 1: Supplies Needed

To begin the wreath project, the first step is to gather all of your supplies. The supplies you need include a wreath, fake leaves in different colors, any color of burlap you want, letters of your choosing, hot glue gun and scissors. I chose to use a wreath that looks like sticks and leaves that are red and orange to bring out the fall season. I chose to use white burlap along with a gold letter S. I chose the S because it’s the first initial of my last name.

Step 2: Placing Leaves and Burlap

Once you have all the supplies you will need set up you will be able to start decorating the wreath. Start by arranging the leaves on the wreath in a pattern that goes up the wreath just on one side of your choice, I chose to put the leaves up and down alternating colors as I go but you can put the leaves however you choose. Glue the leaves down as you go using the hot glue gun when they are placed where you want them. While arranging the leaves you can cut and fold burlap pieces to be randomly tucked and hot glued under leaves throughout the pattern.

Step 3: Final Step

After you have the leaves and burlap placed and hot glued where you want them you can begin to arrange the letters into the word you decided to make or if you chose one letter. I chose to just put the letter S. You then place them on top of the leaves and burlap wherever you choose and hot glue it down.
