Introduction: Bartending for Beginners: Partly Cloudy

For the last installment of my bartending for beginners series, I decided to do something a little bit different. Rather than using a recipe that rd out, I decided to take 1 and put my own been on it. This cocktail is based off of another one called dark n' stormy. Well this one is lighter in color and in alcohol content so I decided to give it a name that reflected that. Therefore, I present to you, the Party Cloudy.

Step 1: Supplies

A dark and stormy consists of dark rum and a ginger beer. To make this drink both lighter and less alcoholic, I substituted white rum for the dark rum and ginger ale for the ginger beer. I also decided to add lime juice and lime wedge garnishes to give it some tang. This drink is a stirred one so no need to break out your shakers. So if you have had a dark and stormy before and enjoyed it I encourage you to try this one.

Step 2: Add and Mix the Ingredients

To make this cocktail first fill up a glass half full with ice. You will then need 2 ounces of white rum, 6 ounces of ginger ale, and finally 1 ounce of lime juice. Once you have these all in the glass, mix thoroughly.

Step 3: Cut Lime and Garnish

To finish up this cocktail, take your lime and cut a nice healthy sized slice. I decided to cut my slice in half just for appearances. You can choose to add more lime or take it out its up to you.

Step 4: Finished

And there you have it. This unique take this popular drink is both sweet and sour. So thanks for joining me in this series and this instructable. I hope you have enjoyed it them and until next time, keep mixing those drinks. Thanks again for reading!
