Bonsai in the Box - La Caja Del Bonsai

Hola!!!

Soy una acumuladora de plantas, entre ellas, una corriente que me cautivo fueron los Bonsai, para los que no sepan de que hablo, son arboles, que pueden llegar a ser muy viejos, pero que mantienen un tamaño muy pequeño.

Este pequeño que muestro en la foto, es una jacaranda (jacaranda mimosifolia), tiene 4 años, y fue un regalo de mi papá. En Aguascalientes, México, hay miles de estos arboles enormes, y en primavera pierden su follaje verde por flores moradas (Parecen arboles morados).

Mi bonsai necesitaba un cambio de casa, y tratamiento para que siga siendo bonsai, así que les dejo este instructable de como hacer una caja con madera reciclada y el tratamiento que deben realizar para el bonsai.

My bonsai needed a change of home, and treatment so that it remains bonsai, so I leave this instructable, how to make a box with recycled wood and the treatment to be carried out for bonsai.

Step 1: Materials - Materiales

- Madera reciclada

- Grapas para pistola

- Pegamento para madera

- Tinta al aceite

- Estopa

- Laca Transparente en aerosol

- Piedras

- Bonsai

Step 2: Cut - Cortar

Las medidas de la caja pueden variar dependiendo del tamaño de tu bonsai, en mi caso corte lo siguiente:

-6 tiras de 20 cm largo x 2.5 cm alto x 1cm de grosor

-6 tiras de 14 cm de largo x 2.5 cm de alto x 1 cm de grosor

- 3 tiras de 14 cm de largo x 7 cm de alto x 2cm de grosor

- 4 tiras de 3 cm de largo x 2 cm de alto x 2 cm de grosor

The measures of the box may differ depending on the size of your bonsai, in my case cut the following:
-6 Strips: 20 cm long x 2.5 cm high x 1 cm thick

-6 Strips: 14 cm long x 2.5 cm high x 1 cm thick

- 3 strips: of 14 cm long x 7 cm high x 2cm thick

- 4 strips: of 3 cm long x 2 cm high x 2 cm thick

As in Figure 2.

Step 3: Arm - Armar

Elaboraremos 3 marcos, colocando pegamento en las uniones y fijando con grapas de pistola, como se muestra en la fotografía 1 y 2.

Cuando estén los 3 marcos, colocaremos pegamento en el contorno superior del marco, empotraremos el siguiente y fijamos con grapas. Como se muestra en la fotografía 3 y 4.

Las tiras mas gruesas las pondremos en la parte inferior, dejando espacios entre ellas, para que el agua pueda filtrarse, fijamos con pegamento y grapas.

Por ultimo colocamos las piezas mas pequeñas en las esquinas. el resultado sera el de la fotografiar 5.

We will develop three frames, placing glue in the vertices and fix with nails, as shown in photo 1 and 2.

When are the three frames, put glue on the upper contour of the frame, we will place the next frames and we will fix with glue and nails. As it is shown in the picture 3 and 4.

The thicker strips will put at the bottom, leaving spaces between them, leaves that water can leak, fix with glue and nails, again.

Finally we put the smallest pieces in the corners. The result will be the Picture number 5.

Step 4: Paint - Pintar

Bañar la estopa en tinta, y colocar en el exterior de la caja, la madera absorber la tinta. Dejar secar.

Pinta con aerosol transparente en el interior de la caja y el exterior, esto evitara que la madera se hinche con el agua.

Nota: sugiero dar de 2 a 3 pasadas de pintura transparente en el interior.

Step 5: Materials to Transplant - Material Para Trasplante

-Bonsai

- Caja de madera

- Tijeras de poda

- Guantes

- Pulverizador

- Bonsai

- Palillo de madera

- Piedras

Step 6: Transplant - Trasplante

Es un proceso sencillo:

Sacamos el bonsai de su antigua maceta, con el palillo retiraremos toda la tierra de las raíces.

Cortaremos aprox. una tercera parte de las raíces con nuestra tijeras de poda, sin miedo. Volverán a crecer.

En el fondo de nuestra caja, pon piedras, un poco de tierra y nuestro bonsai. Al final, cubrimos con mas tierra y hacemos un poco de presión.

Agregar 5 esferitas de fertilizante granulado azul, para bonsai, desarrollara mas raíces nuestro árbol.

Finalmente, regaremos con el pulverizador.

It is a simple process:
We take your old bonsai pot, with stick withdraw all soil from the roots.

Will cut approx. a third of the roots with our pruning shears, without fear. They will grow back.

At the bottom of our box, put stones, some land and our bonsai. In the end, we cover with more land and do a bit of pressure.

Adding 5 spheres the blue granular fertilizer, for bonsai, develop more our tree roots.

Finally, we will water with pulverizador.

Step 7: Final Details - Detalles Finales

Corta algunas ramas secas, o muy altas, para darle forma al árbol.

Para decorar, podemos colocar algunas piedras y musgo.

Después del trasplante déjalo un día dentro de casa, para que se reponga.

Sacalo al jardín o en una ventana, esta listo para saludar al sol.

Solo recuerda ponerle agua todos los días.

To decorate, we can put some stones and moss.

After the transplant I let one days indoors, to be restored.

Get him to the garden or in a window, ready to greet the sun.

Just remember to put water every day.
