Introduction: Easy, Creamy Mashed Potatoes

I love mashed potatoes. Everyone loves mashed potatoes. I felt like making some today, to pair up with the butternut squash soup my sister made yesterday. mmm, leftovers.

Here's what you need:

3 chives, garlic, onions, whichever you like best.
Salt
3/4 cup heavy cream OR milk

a food mill/ potato ricer
A pot
a sauce pan
a paring knife
a wooden spoon
a cauldron

Step 1: Dealing With the Potatoes

Peel the skins off of the potatoes. Then , rinse them in the cauldron to remove the starch. Now, cut them into quarters.

Step 2: Boil the POtatoes

Put the potatoes into a pot, and cover them with cold water. Cook for about 20 minutes, or until they're tender.

Step 3: Heat Up the Milk/heavy Cream

Heat up the milk/heavy cream in a saucepan while the potatoes are boilin'.

Step 4: Prepare Garnishes and Whatnot

Prepare the garlic, or gravy, or chives, or whatever you're adding into the mashed potatoes.

Step 5: Mill 'em.

Drain the potaoes. Take out a bowl, and put the food mill/ ricer on top of it. Put a couple of chunks of the potatoes into the mill/ricer and...mill them...(don't know what to call it). The potato shavings should fall into the bowl. Now, take the heated milk and spices and whatnot, and put them into the bowl with the potato shavings.

Step 6: Eat.

Mix the stuff together, and serve. Add butter, or salt, or cheese, or gravy! I hope you liked it! Comment below, ask questions, or favorite if you like it. Don't forget to rate!
