Introduction: Easy Mediterranean Summer Salad

About: [https://www.instructables.com/member/LinuxH4x0r/ LinuxH4x0r] introduced me to instructables ...thanks son.

This quick and easy tomato salad is a nice alternative to a garden salad. Tasty, garden fresh tomatoes, tangy feta cheese, sweet onions, and savory herbs will delight your taste buds.

Step 1: The Ingredients

A garden ripe tomato
Onion
Feta cheese (may substitute fresh mozarella, goat cheese...)
Fresh herbs from the garden (garlic chives, basil...)
Olive oil (you might try almond oil, seasame oil.....)
Vinegar (I recommend balsamic or rice vinegar)
Freshly ground pepper
Salt

Step 2: Prep Your Ingredients

Wash and dry herbs.
Wash and thinly slice the tomato.
Thinly slice the onion.
Crumble the cheese

Step 3: Assemble the Salad

Alternate layers of sliced of tomato and onions on a salad plate. Sprinkle the crumbled feta cheese over the top of the onion and tomatoes. Next add the chopped herbs. Drizzle olive oil and vinegar over the salad. Season with freshly ground black pepper, salt to taste.

Step 4: Enjoy!

Savor the taste of summer!

This looks very good :-) very easy to make, very colourful. Lots of textures there and flavours that work together.

Besides, if you cut them thin and cook them well, they get a sweet flavour. Throw some port or brandy at them and cook something from there, like curry! Endless possibilities, mate!

Onions are great, especially when cooked with olive oil. Onions make the best stuff to eat on a funny summer night with some beer and good talk.

Milkshake! Five points for being random! Or five points deducted for using an inside joke that I don't understand...

Hey, even I don't understand it..............the son just happened to be stand there and replied under my name........

honestly? chop everything finer, add some chopped cucumbers, kalamata olives, and anchovies. It's just about the exact same thing, but I call mine greek salad. I've never tried keeping everything sliced, I'm going to have to try that next time i do this. I'll bet the texture is pretty darn good..
