Introduction: Full Metal Crochainmaille Pendant
This Instructable will show how to Crochainmaille an all metal pendant
Step 1: Stuff Needed
2 pliers
2.10 mm crochet hook
1/4 inch 17 gauge steel jump rings
Smaller assorted colored jump rings(brass looking ones shown)
26 gauge black colored copper wire
1 ear hoop (optional)
1 unit of leaf-maille
Step 2: Crochain'n
With your pliers and quarter inch steel jump rings make a euro 4 in 1 chain. http://www.mailleartisans.org/weaves/weavedisplay....
Take your wire loop it around your crochet hook and weave a single stitch through 2 of the center jump rings and repeat as necessary,
it takes some finagling but it can be accomplished , hopefully visible in the "Box end" pictures.
Step 3: Box-end It
Using your pliers box-end the 4 in 1 with the larger crochainmaille loops on the outside.
Step 4: Attach the Little Ones
Taking the smaller colored jumps ring..4 links long..attach them to the loop matrix.
I used three chains skipping some loops to give it an asymmetrical look.
Step 5: Make a Triangle
I made a modified Oriental Scale http://www.mailleartisans.org/weaves/weavedisplay....
and attached it to the top of the pendant.
Step 6: Geting Byzzy
With some of the colored jump rings make a byzantine unit.. http://www.mailleartisans.org/weaves/weavedisplay....
and attach it with the slightly larger jump rings to the loop matrix top and bottom.
Step 7: Attach the Leaf and the Ear Hoop(optional)
The at the bottom attach the leaf ..and a chain or the ear-hoop at the top(optional for earring if you like heavy things on your ears.)
Step 8: And You're Done.
This is what it looks completed..not too horrible for a first attempt.
You can add beads or other accessories to pretty it up more.
I left it bare bones just so I could use "Full Metal" in the title.
