Intro: How to Make Avocado Steak
Although a lot of people don’t know about it, Steak and Avocado Cream (Guacamole) go extremely well together taste wise. When combined, these two things form a very exceptional and nice taste. In this tutorial, I will be teaching you how to make this meal. Note: For this, you will only require to use to following cooking methods: baking, roasting and soaking.
Most importantly, you need a 500g steak. Later on, in the process of making steak, you will also require olive oil. For making the Guacamole, you need 2 Avocados, some garlic, some salt, and a lemon. With these ingredients, you will be able to create the meal.
First of all, we will be making the guacamole. As already mentioned, you should have 2 avocados, garlic, salt and a lemon ready. First of all, cut the two avocados in half by using a knife and remove the seed.
Next, you need to remove all the inners from the avocados, and put them in a bowl. You will know if you avocado is ripe if the inners are slightly soft and green. However, if it is brown and almost liquid, you should use a better one.
Now, you will need to mix the Avocados up so they become a cream. To do that, you will need a hand mixer. You can check whether the avocados are properly mix if they have a creamy condition and it is just one mass.
Now, you will need to put some of the spices and ingredients into the cream. First of all, add one teaspoon of salt, and mix it well so it is evenly spread. Next, add one clove of garlic, after you crushed it using a garlic press. Again, make sure it is evenly spread.
Now, you will need to add some lemon juice. You will need the amount of lemon juice you get from one lemon half. Squeeze the lemon over the cream and spread the juice evenly. This is important to keep the cream fluid so it does not get hard. In order for you to understand the process better, here a video is attached.
Now, we will start to make the herb butter, which is for the steak. This will be a nice add-on to the steak. Using a hand mixer again, beat the butter, so it is like a proper cream. During the process of making herb butter, it is important to do everything fast so the butter doesn’t melt.
Now, you need to mix different things into the butter. Herbs, one clove of garlic and salt. To do that, you can use a hand mixer again, as it is very helpful.
Now, you will start the process of hardening the butter. Transfer the mixture onto some plastic wrap and form a cylinder with it.
To finally harden the butter, you will need to put it into a fridge. In about one hour, it is ready to serve.
Now, you will start the process of making the ingredients like the meat. First of all, it is important to preheat the oven to 250 degrees fahrenheit, or alternatively, 120 degrees celcius.
Now, you will need to rub the steak with one tablespoon of olive oil. This is important so they do not stick to the floor.
Now, you will need to put the steaks in the oven when it is fully preheated. When you are done with this, close the oven.
Now, it is time to wait. You will need to wait for 20 minutes, if you want the steak to be medium rare. You can also adjust the time if you want it to have more rawness, or longer, if you want it to be fully done.
When the time is passed, make sure that you put the steaks in heated oil again soak it in there.
When the steaks soaked in the oil for one minute, put them in a pan. The heat is up to you, but around 70% of the available heat is recommended.
Make sure that you sometimes turn the steaks over, so that both sides are roasted equally.
There is no exact time for how long the steaks should be in the pan, furthermore it is up to you to decide when it’s ready.
Now, all parts of your meal are done. You can transfer the steak onto a plate and but some of the herb butter on it. Also, you can transfer the guacamole onto a plate and sometimes dip the steak into it.
