Introduction: How to Make a Cheap and Easy Pork Tenderloin

In this instructable i will show you how to make a pork tenderloin that is easy to make and costs about 18$s to make. Yes you can spend a lot of time with special preperations and rubs, but i personally think that you get the same great taste with a few simple ingredients. This is my first instructable so tell me what you think of it.

Step 1: Get Your Meat

I got my meat at WalMart (yes I do shop there) but if you want a better quality meat you will want to go to a butchery. I got a 2 1/2 lb. tenderloin from a brand called Farmland. I got lucky and this one is really tender =D. Make sure you cut off any large portions of fat that is on your tenderloin. (I accidentally forgot to take a pic of my meat before I put the rub on =(. )

Step 2: Rub Time!!

This is the rub I used:
5 cloves of garlic
1 Tbs of Mrs. dash garlic & herb
1/2 Tbs of itallian seasoning
1 Tbs amount of olive oil

Tools that you need are:
1 small bowl
2 plastic bags that are big enough to hold your tenderloin
1 shoping bag
1 knife

Ok first off you need to put all of the ingredents into a small bowl. Place your tenderloin into the plastic bag and use the knife to puncture the meat a few times. All you have to do then is put the rub into the bag and massage your meat for a few minuites.

Step 3: Time to Wait

After you get done with massaging the tenderloin put it into the other plastic bag. Repeat with the shoping bag. this is so you don't get pork meat on everything in your fridge. put the meat into the fridge and let it marinate for 4 hours. If you want the rub to be more prominent in the tenderloin you can let it sit for another hour.

Step 4: Prepartion for the Grill

Before you take the tenderloin you need to get some string to tie the tenderloin. You only need to tie it if your meat is either split (like mine) or there is a large portion of fat that could fold up in the heat.

You also need a sheet of tin foil. Having foil on the tenderloin steams it and soaks the rub into it. All you have to do is put the meat on the sheet of foil and roll the foil around the meat.

Step 5: Grilling Part 1

The grill i use is an old Masterflame 8000. Take the wrapped meat and put it on the top rack. Set the temperature on low. Let it cook untill it is 150 F which is about 45 min.

Step 6: Grilling Part 2

After the meat is 150 F, take the foil off. Make sure you keep the meat on the grill while you do this. Put it back in and let it cook untill it is 170 F. You will want the tenderloin to be evenly browned

Step 7: Enjoy!

Finnaly, take it off of the grill and enjoy!!
