Materials Needed:
1 t-shirt (we recommend going up a size due to adjustable sides)
1 pair of scissors
1 sharpie, clothing, or permanent marker
1 ruler or tape measure
Step 1: Preparation
Lay t-shirt face-up on a flat surface.
Step 2: Measure the Side-Slits
Use the sharpie and measuring tape to mark every 1 inch from the sleeve to the bottom of the shirt. Do this for each side of the shirt.
Step 3: Cut the Side-Slits
Cut along the lines 2 to 2.5 inches inward.
Step 4: Cut Each Strip
Cut each strip along the seams.
Step 5: Tie the Strips
Tie a double knot using one strip from the front and another from the back.
Continue to tie the strips until all of the strips have been tied along both sides of the shirt.
Step 6: Cut the Sleeves
Using the sharpie, mark a dashed line from the armpit of the shirt to the shoulder. Carefully cut along the dashed line to cut sleeves off. After you have done this, your tank-top is complete.
