This will be the finished product of your light up sign if done correctly

Step 1: Step 1: Getting Materials

Obtain a piece of clear plastic (with paper protection) and a piece of wood to use as the model

Step 2: Step 2: Laser Cut Design Into Plastic

Use the laser cutter and Inkscape to create a design and print it out onto the plastic slab

Step 3: Step 3: Adding Lights and Making Them Work

Cut out a piece of the wood where you would like the lights to go. Once the lights are in, grab some copper tape and a battery and connect the lights to the battery with copper tape.(Remember positive and negative connection)

Step 4: Final Step: Put Everything Together

Place plastic sign (held up by two planks of wood *optional*) on top of the lights and glue them in place. Once the glue dries everything should work perfectly and look similar to this. Be creative,use different color lights, different designs. Express yourself!
