Introduction: Magic Bars

One bar is never enough.

Step 1: Making the Crust

mix 1.75 cups crumbled graham crackers with 1/3 cup butter in a mixing bowl.

Step 2: Building the 5 Layers

using butter or shortening, cover the bottom and edges of an 8x8 pan. press the graham cracker crust into the bottom of the pan. Then add a layer of semi-sweet chocolate chips to cover the crust entirely. Next cover the chips with sweetened condensed milk entirely. Top the sweetened condensed milk with your choice of chopped nuts (I use either pecans or almonds). For the final layer, cover the nuts with sweetened shredded coconut.

Step 3: Baking the Bars

preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. when the oven has reached the desired temperature, place the pan in the oven and bake until the coconut is lightly browned. Let the dish cool about 20 minutes before cutting. These are especially yummy with ice cream when served warm. Enjoy!
