Introduction: Make Bhature in 30 Mins

Bhaturas is one of the most popular Punjabi recipe. Bhatura are thick leavened fried Indian bread. Bhaturas are often eaten with chole (chickpeas) and this combination of chole bhature is very tasty as well as popular all over India. They are famous weekend breakfast as well.

There are many recipes which you can refer to make bhaturas if you have minimum time of 2-3 hours for fermentation. However, this technique only requires 20 mins of fermentation time. Now you can cook it on weekdays as well.

ingredients :

  • Maida : 250 gms
  • Suji : 75 gms
  • Soda Water :100 ml
  • Oil : 200 ml
  • Paneer : 100gms

Step 1: Preparing the Dough

Soji salt with soda ….zor xor ke maarna …coat with oil….each pedi…and coat hand with oil…and coat

Take maida & soji in a bowl . Now you add soda water instead of water to the mixture and start mixing them. You need to countinously knead the dough.This is a time consuming step and you must do it properly. Smash the dough on the vessel to properly knead it.

Step 2: Properly Shaping

After the dough is ready, take a round ball from it and flatten it and make a small pocket like shape.Coat your hands with oil to properly shape it. Fill the pocket with paneer and close the pocket so as to make a closed round ball like shape. Coat your hand with oil. Now roll the ball in to elliptical shape usng rolling pin or hand.

Step 3: Frying Bhature

Preheat the oil for 4-5 mins on medium flame.

Once the oil is hot, fry the bhatura. Change sides so as to evenly cook it until it turns golden brown.

Serve with cholle and onion.
