Peanut butter and chocolate is the ultimate combination. That led me to think that peanut butter/chocolate brownies would be a great alternative to a normal, boring brownie without peanut butter.
Step 1: What You'll Need
FOR THE BATTER:
1/2 a cup of sugar
A pinch of salt
2 tablespoons of vanilla
1 1/2 bars of dark chocolate
1 1/2 bars of milk chocolate
1/2 of all purpose flour
4 tablespoons (or 1/2 a stick) of butter
FOR THE TOPPINGS:
Peanut butter chips (amount varies)
Chocolate chips (or chocolate chunks) (amount varies)
Step 2: Making the Batter
Mix your eggs with the vanilla.
Add the salt and sugar. Mix until thoroughly combined.
Add the flour. Mix until thoroughly combined.
In a separate bowl, add your milk and dark chocolate along with the butter. Melt in the microwave or double boiler.
Add the chocolate to the batter. Mix well.
Move the batter to a greased 2"x8" round cake pan.
Step 3: Adding Toppings
Add the chocolate chips to the brownie batter.
Add the peanut butter chips to the brownie batter.
Mix the chips in (if you want to).
Step 4: Baking and Finishing Up
Bake the brownies at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 minutes. To check if done, stick a fork into the middle of the brownie and if it comes out clean, it is done.
Serve as is.
