Introduction: Premade Oatmeal

This is my breakfast plan for mornings when there is little time for preparing or eating breakfast. I have three ways that I use the premade oatmeal depending on how much time I have.

Supplies

12 Liter storage container (Komax)

6 lbs Rolled Oats

10 oz Coconut Flakes

1 lb Raisins

6 oz Dried Cherries

8 oz Dried Cranberries

8 ozDried Blueberries

1 lb Slivered Almonds

10 oz Filberts (Hazelnuts)

Step 1: Month Supply of Breakfast

Pour everything into the bin and shake until it's evenly mixed.

Step 2: Simple Steeped Oatmeal

Pour boiling water over the top of any amount of oatmeal. Add water until oatmeal is completely submerged. Let it sit covered until it softens. I also like to make it in a jar with lid so I can take it to go.

Step 3: Baked Oatmeal Dry Ingredients

When I have more time, I create this recipe that my kids love.

- 3 cups oatmeal mix

- 1 tablespoon baking powder

Whisk together.

Step 4: Wet Blender Ingredients

I put all these ingredients in my Vitamix blender and blend until smooth.

- 1 banana

- 1 egg

- 1/4 cup almonds

- 1 tablespoon chia seed

-1 tablespoon flax seed

- 2 tablespoons olive oil

Pour wet ingredients over dry and whisk together.

Step 5: Buttered Baking Pan

Pour everything into a buttered 8 x 8 baking dish.

Bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 30 to 40 minutes depending on how crispy you like it.

Step 6: Top With Fruit Compote or Maple Syrup

Cut and serve immediately while warm. Enjoy!
