Introduction: Rise of the Guardians Clay Figurines

About: I'm a homeschooled high school student living in one of the sunniest places on Earth. I love drawing and creating things!

I wanted to post something for the Tophatter Crafting Challenge, so here we go.

I've loved Rise of the Guardians ever since I first saw the trailer. I spent the next several months anxiously awaiting its release, and it was my very first midnight movie premier. I've drawn copious amounts of fanart, decorated a Jack Frost hoodie, and even made a Gingerbread Jack (all of which can be seen on my website). A few weeks ago, I decided to make myself some clay Guardians. I hadn't really worked with clay for over a year, so they probably could have turned out better, but I like them well enough. Originally, I was going to make all five, but after spending several hours on Jack and Tooth, not to mention running out of skin-colored clay, I decided that doing my favorite two was enough. Maybe someday I'll get around to making the others. I made them with Sculpey clay, added faces, feathers, and frost with acrylic paint, then glazed them. I expected Tooth's wings to fall apart during baking, but to my surprise it was Jack who suffered the most--his staff and arms both fell off in the oven! Luckily, I was able to perform emergency surgery with superglue, and he seems to be doing fine now. :)
