This DIY Smartphone Clipboard is easy to make if you have a few hand tools and a little muscle to bend a bolt.

Step 1: Gather Up Required Parts

1. Clip Board (Must be "Standard Clip" - No low profile) any size, color or material
2. Cell Phone Adapter with 1/4" - 20 bottom threads (Removed from Selfie-Stick)
3. 1/4" - 20 Round Head Bolt 1/2" Length
4. 1/4" - 20 threaded collar (coupling)
5. 1/4" - 20 Bolt (Head cut and bent in center 90°)
6. 1/4" - 20 Nut
7. (2) 5/8" diameter washers w/1/4" hole

Step 2: Make Custom Smartphone Adapter

1. Bend 2" Bolt 90° using a clamp, vice grips and a pipe and a mallet
2. Cut Head using bolt cutter
3. Check thread on cut end. Grind smooth and chase with tap if necessary.
4. Twist (clockwise) on 1/4" threaded Coupling
5. Twist on (clockwise 1/4"- 20 Flange Nut) flange side down toward opposite end of bent bolt
6. Twist on Selfie-Stick after Flange Nut (See Photo)

Step 3: Assemble Parts

1. Screw on mount using 5/8" washers and 1/2" Round Head Bolt
2. Tighten with screwdriver
