Introduction: Strawberry Rubarb Jam

Strawberry Rhubarb Jam. Tastes great, easy to make. Total time is about 8 hours. (Thats just because you have to wait)

Step 1: What You'll Need

To make this you'll only need:

2 cup of white sugar
4 cups of chopped Rhubarb
1 cup of chopped strawberries
1 pack of strawberry Jell-O mix (the 3 oz kind)

Step 2: Chop the Rhubarb

Cut stalks of Rhubarb into about 1/4 inch sections (see pic) until you have 4 cups worth. You'll need to cut off the ends if they look weird.

Step 3: Mix With Sugar

Mix Rhubarb and sugar together in a saucepan. Then leave it covered in the fridge for about eight hours. If you get impatient put it in at night then finish the jam in the morning.

Step 4: The Strawberries

While you waiting for the Rhubarb, chop up 1 cup of strawberries. However big they are now is how big they'll be in the final jam so cut to your appreciation.

Step 5: Put It All Together

After about 8 hours, take the Rhubarb out of the fridge. It should look like the pic below. Put the pan over medium heat until it comes to a boil. Stir constantly for six minutes.

When six minutes is up put in the strawberries and stir constantly for another six minutes.

When the last six minutes has finished, remove from heat and stir in Jell-O mix until completely dissolved.

Step 6: Put It in the Fridge and Enjoy

When Jell-O is completely dissolved, pour into any kind of container that fits in your fridge. when its cooled, just spread and enjoy.
