Introduction: The CWoofer - a Cardboard Subwoofer for Your IPhone/iPod/Android Phone

We all know the joys of yelling into the cardboard tube after the paper towels were gone. Now you have another reason to keep and recycle the tubes. Audiophiles will cringe, but you'll smile knowing you have a free way to add a little more bass to those tinny iPhone speakers.

Step 1: Get a Cardboard Tube

Any tube will do. Paper towel tubes work well. Get as much of the glue off it as you can.

Step 2: Trace the IPhone on to the Tube

Somewhere in the middle of the tube, trace around the iPhone with a pen or marker.

Step 3: Cut Three Sides of the Traced Area

Using a x-acto knife or scissors, carefully cut three sides of the traced area. I like to leave one side in tact so that you have something to press up against the iPhone to keep it in place.

Step 4: Insert the IPhone. Jam to Some Tunes.

Insert the iPhone into the tube. Marvel at your accomplishment while you listen to your favorite tunes.
