Step 1: Recycle the Old Speaker..

Step 2: Remove the Magnet Carefully...

Step 3: Take Thick Wire and Fold It Spiral Shape.and Fix It Back to the Speaker.

If you look at manufactured soldering iron stands they do not hold the iron with the spring on the hot end of the iron. The spring is just there as a protective cage around the hot part of the iron. The iron is actually held by a ring on the end of the spring that holds the handle of the iron. Holding the hot end of the iron your stand will heat up, and your iron will lose temperature into the stand too. You want that hot end just hanging there in free air.
