Yes, being lined does make a difference to the usability. Like a number of Japanese ideas, this follows a beautifully simple folding process.

Someone would have to try it out, but veg tan becomes brittle as well as shrinking lots when heated wet so the grip might split along where the holes were made for the lacing. Anyone want to test the theory?

Useful stuff! Just word of warning - don't use veg tanned leather if you are going to use boiling water or make it wet and use a heat gun as it will shrink and become hard. Try wetting a piece of veg tanned leather and then ironing it to see what I mean!

Nice idea! Although you may have to swap out the cactus as it has different watering requirements to the succulents. Or go for all cacti. Once you start, you might not be able to stop though...I have 60 odd cacti and succulents now! It doesn't help living near to the largest cactus nursery in the UK I can tell you!

Eddie provides inspection services, checking out everything that I am doing is approved by the Ginger Cats League (ie Eddie and his brother) and making sure I am not distracted for too long in between my more important duties of feeding, tummy tickles and laser pointing.

Check it out! Although you can see that had already started eating it before I remembered I wanted to take a picture... :) Both are now all gone and I can definitely say to those who are wondering, yes it does taste like regular prosciutto! Now for round two!

err I forgot to take a pic of the first one, I was too busy eating it! It was delicious! I'll try and remember to take pic of the other...no promises though! Ha!

I just made this! My whole duck was defrosted, legs removed and breast removed. I salted both for 24 hours and cooked the carcass in water in the slow cooker for 24 hours. When the broth/stock was done I put the legs in and they are now confiting. The breasts have now been hung in the garage. Now I just have to be patient! Grrrrrr!

Looks great! I would hazard a guess that the hole in the side rather than being random, is there for drainage. Otherwise if you used the table outdoors it would fill up with water every time it rained.
