Thanks. I did enter it into the Wood contest. I do try to be safe, but wearing safety glasses throughout the entire project is a little much for me. I do make sure to wear them when I'm sawing.

Thanks :) To work out the frequencies I found the volume of the box, and decided what thickness of pipe to use, and picked a frequency and then put it all into this online program called port length calculator. Then it tells you how long to make the pipe. Here's the link: http://www.mobileinformationlabs.com/HowTo-1Woofer-Box-CAL%20Port%20lenth%201.htm It doesn't really matter what kind of pipe you use though, and 47 hz sounds pretty good, but there is a lot of whistling noises coming from the port when it's cranked loud.

This probably isn't a big issue, but for step 10 if you are going to use wood glue it would be a good idea to scrape off the paint where the glue is going to go, because wood glue sticks better to wood than paint.
