Will the atmega32 chip overheat when I would use leds of 2.2V and 50mA If (instead of the 3.3V and 30mA If lilypad leds) even though the the max. forward current of the chip is 40 mA?

I'm still prototyping on my breadboard, but it doesn't seem to work. Here are the soldering connections I was planning to use and have translated on my breadboard. Am I forgetting something?

If I just replace the first resistor of 240 ohm to one of 150 ohm, would that work to get 5V with every switch on?
