Your project is nice, but I feel it is kinda a "Cannon shot in a mosquito", you can make the same with much simplier and cheaper parts.The current is extremely low, you dont need that GIANT H-brigde.The displays is unecessary.The microcontroller can be a much simpler and cheaper one.There is a question about this energy from the wall and your body.Maybe you can do the same with just a 9v battery and a stopwatch, full secure.
You can try a small sponge or spring fixed directly in the speaker (without the balloon).Then the mirror fixed to the sponge/spring.The lighter the mirror the more sensitive it will be.
The ideia here is to keep it simple and (almost) free, I dont see why to put an Arduino, this is like a cannon shot in a fly.Ins_rakesh, nice work bro, your project can be done without spending a single penny but still a marvelous science device for who cant buy one.The issue about the power and the LED brightness is a real question.1. Make sure you is not drawing too much current from the USB port (just measure it).2. Maybe try another way to dimm the LEDs, but a simple way, not Arduino.
Inifinity mirrors are always mesmerizing, yours is looking very clean and cool, but I think you have "too much for too little".Too much complex electronics for too little effect and interaction.Maybe you can implement something more interactive to compensate the complex electronics.

You mean, the "fixed" arm is not really necessary?Just the moving arm with the mirror attached?My idea is to point always to a fixed target, same as yours.I have another idea, which was to put this system in a device like a gun, then it always throw the light forward, but I'm not sure how to this as the entire device will be moving.Thanks for your answer :D
