Your First Experiments
I got it to work using demo code supplied by manufacturer. Examples->EPD1IN54TC->epd200x200tc. I used GIMP to posterize my photo to 3 colors and separate it into two images, one for the black and the other for the red. I then used the Image2Lcd program supplied in the manufacturer's GitHub files to convert the black and red images to C arrays and replace in the demo. The two biggest gotchas were to go ahead and set switch to low power but use 5v anyway, and use the "Reverse color" option when using Image2Lcd. Evidently whichever color ink you're using, it prints from the white color of the image and not the black, as if it's printing from a negative.
It works. I had a bad LM386, but luckily had a few spares on hand. I was hearing a radio station, very faintly, through the audio testbed. It was a Navajo country music radio station. Is that normal?
