    Open Kitchen Pantry

I absolutely love this cabinet! Would be perfect for a mudroom/utility room/craft room and would eliminate the inevitable junk drawer in our kitchens. I know what you mean about out of square stuff. My parents house was a 4-square built by some drunks in the 40s. I have been fortunate. My current & previous house were both built by the same company. EVERYTHING is square and plumb . . . except the porch the current occupants of my current house, added on. LOL

Easily Soundproof a Stainless Steel Sink

I just happen to have a brand new SS sink sitting in my garage awaiting delivery of my new countertop. It's a large single bowl that fits a 36" cabinet. Probably need 2 of the pkgs. I was hesitatent to get SS because of the noise and quick loss of temperature, cold or hot. I currently have an enameled cast iron sink and it is extraordinarily hard to keep spots and crud off the white surface no make how often it's cleaned. Thanks so much for posting this!

    Ikea Hack Built-Ins

For anyonw who has used the Billy cases from IKEA: The shelves look thin. Do they hold up under the weight of books or do they start to sag? I've bought small white cases from Amazon, WalMart, etc and invariably they begin to sag if less than 3/4" thick.

13 Unusual Uses for a Hair Dryer

I have a large, expandable plywood craft cabinet that was built in 1974. I covered the entire interior in a yellow & green Contact Paper and use it for years in my sewing room. Got relegated to a storage building in '94. I rescued it in 2011 and was going to refurbish it. Do you know how hard it is to remove 30+ yr old Contact paper? Without the hair dryer I'd still be out there! Did a great job loosening it and allowing me to peel if off. Does leave some residue but who cares when I'm just going to re-paper it with a more contemporary Contact paper! Also, if you have one of those stupid ice makers that is mounted on the inside of the door of a side-by-side, The dryer comes in handy for unfreezing the ice jam in the dispensing chute. A pox on those manufacturers . . . and you know wh...
