This is useful of you're doing your own senior photos. Instead of shelling out hundreds of bucks for a professional picture, just take your own and edit out the zits.

I did something similar, but instead of using the mentioned 555, I used a modified joule thief circuit. It flashes twice a second, and runs on 3 farads. the solar cell comes from a cheap garden light, and the blocking diode is a geranium. It was basically made from scrap electronic parts

On one of the buzzer outputs, use a transistor. Then use that transistor to either directly drive your load, or use it to switch a relay.

Idk how, but Google Now somehow brought me here, through a search. Anyways since I'm here now, I thought I'd just share how I became one a few years back. I ended up finding out about it through random youtube poop videos. It ended up making me curious, so I finally brought myself to watch a few episodes. And to my surprise, I liked it a lot.

Oops, swap series and parallel around in my other reply.
Dont put them in parallel, put them in series and use a dedicated boost converter. It'd be a pain to make a board to charge all the batteries if they're in series. It could also cause an unbalance situation, unless you use a multi cell battery management board.
View Instructable »You might consider using Li-Ion or LiPo cells instead a 9V. It's much more economical, and they're rechargeable

I actually dropped my core and it did slightly damage my primary. but it was still usable. I say keep going and if it doesn't work then use another one
