Hi Brett,Finally managed to remove Tetris and Simon games and added the alternate version of the “timeanalog h.” by srdevil, it actually replaces “timeanalog cpp”.Also increased the analog hour pointer length by 1 character and the minute by 2 characters, I think it gives a better indication of the time.Regards,David

HI srdevil,Thanks for the updated code but it is to replace "timeanalog.cpp" not "timeanalog.h"Regards,David

Hi Brett,Finally finished my mark one Mini Work Clock. I must admit I didn’t realise how much fiddly work was involved. As this is the first one there are a few little faults, the led matrix modules are not exactly aligned and one is just a little proud of the other 3.I couldn’t find “Neutral Density” Perspex locally so had to settle for Anti-glare instead which doesn’t exactly live up to its name.My problem with the Doppler module was because I had mounted it back to front!I have purchased 8 60 x 60mm led matrix modules and hope to start on a second version soon. Thanks for your help, regardsDavid

Hi Brett,After a lot of trial and errorI have almost completed the photo frame version. Just one slight problem, I can’t get the Doppler module to trigger the nano and switch the display back on, any suggestions would be very much appreciated.Regards,David

Hi Brett,I received the alternate code from JohnM217 but no success, finally found I was using 2 different types of MAX7219 with different pin connections, finally back on track, will post the completed clock.RegardsDavid

Hi Brett,I have started on the Photo Frame version but I’m having a lot of problems getting the MAX7219 led matrix to work after carrying out the wiring modifications. I have modified 5 so far and only 1 works as per the test prog, so before I buy any more I wonder if possible, your clock software code could be altered.many thanksDavid

Hi Brett,I made the clock about a year ago, since then I have been trying to modify the software to remove the games and have only the clock and temperature/humidity, without success. Is it possible to remove the unwanted software, if so would you be able to give me a list of the libraries or sections I should keep?Best regards,David A

  • Hi Brett,Just finished my second word clock and now hope to build this Master Clock.Would it be possible to post a complete electronic component list for the project, and is the Atmega 32 taken from an Arduino Uno or is it a pre programmed stand alone controller.RegardsDavid

Hi Srdevil,Thanks for your comment re the Tetris code, it led me to the following,STC - SIMPLE TETRIS CLONE *//* -------------------------------------------------------------------------- *//* Game constants and definitions. *//* *//* Copyright (c) 2010 Laurens Rodriguez Oscanoa. *//* This code is licensed under the MIT license: *//* http://www.opensource.org/licenses/mit-license.ph... *//* -------------------------------------------------------------------------- */#ifndef STC_SRC_GAME_H_#define STC_SRC_GAME_H_/* Number of filled rows required to increase the game l…

Hi Brett,With regard to the Tetris game, do you know how the scoring works?I have played a lot of games and the big “0” counter just does not change. I am no good at coding but reading through I am not sure if the cleared lines are counted or there is a change when you manage to move up a level - something I have probably not achieved.RegardsDavid

I didn’t have a problem on the prototype or the full sized clock. I lost the “I” from IS after the upgrade to V4-2 - traced to a loose connection, and have included the extra code just in case..., no other problems yetDavid

Hi Brett,Updated to V4_2 and included to repaint code for "THE TIME IS",Also used the Arduino IDE serial montor to set the light intensity levels

Brett,Thanks for the fantastic Instructable, here is my attempt.......Have not fitted the PIR detector yet, but does not seem to effect the clock.Time keeping seems to be satisfactory, on average the clock was losing about 5 seconds per month as a prototype, if that continues as built I will be quite happy.RegardsDavid

Hi Brett,Can you please give the location measurements for the holes in the float glass panel.ThanksDavid

Hi Brett,What material are the Chicago Fasteners made from? I have seen Stainless Steel, Steel, Brass and Aluminium and wondered which one would give the best response to the touch sensor. Also, when I open the word matrix in Inkscape the left hand column is in alignment but the rows seem to be different lengths so the right hand side of the matrix is not aligned and I have not been able to print out the 62mm photo type page. Thanks for your assistanceDavid
