I've found that lemon juice, an old toothbrush & the disposable variety of nail file do the job nicely.
Nice instructable but as every true Yorkshireman (& lass) knows Yorkshire Puddings are NOT cooked in namby pamby muffin tins. They are cooked in one big tin (using beef dripping btw - yer only man!) & cut into squares. Served as a starter with thick onion gravy or mint sauce or for pudding with jam and/or custard.Nice touch using Robin Hood flour in your baking btw - another true Yorkshireman!
Thoroughly rub Vaseline into hands before painting or using any sticky substance. It makes cleaning them afterwards much easier.
For the best finish try a combination of plug & filler. Insert a dowel rod into your hole, then extract slightly before cutting flush. Your plug can then be tapped into the hole leaving it sitting slightly below the surface. The resulting hollow can then be filled with your filler of choice. This method limits any shrinkage & allows the filler to dry quickly & completely.
B*ll*cks! - I just gave away 5 of these shelving units - I'll never make a comedian; my timing sucks! Great idea btw.
