Very impressive. I think I will stick with your first recommendations on the supplies list even though this does fit in with my wife’s theory that I just like to make sawdust. How well would this work with old fence posts made of cedar or mesquite? Both are commonly used for posts where I live.

Great project. All it’s missing is a putt-putt course attached to it for my liking.

Then it worked out great. Still, it is a very impressive table.

Very nice table. It looks great. The only thing that is driving me crazy is the grain of the top and bottom aren’t going the same direction. This looks like a very fun project that most people could try.

Great idea! I have seen something similar in a friend’s workshop but never in an interior setting for office use. It looks like it wood work great for someone without much space for furniture in their home.

Reminds me of toy box my great-grandfather made for me as a child (minus the walnut trim). Beautiful, excellent work. Thanks for stirring up some great memories.

Great idea for anyone who needs a creative background for video meetings. I like the use of the LED strips to add some flash to the backdrop. That’s a much better idea than trying to install electrical wiring and lights, especially for those of us that are “challenged” when it comes to working with electricity.

Incredible idea for any of the multiple crescent wrenches in my workshop. You have inspired me to try this with a few modifications. I don’t want to give them away here because I may want to enter the contest too. Great job!

I was thinking that you could use an automatic sliding door opener with a wireless remote. It would only need to be attached to the inside upper corner of the book case (one on each side). It would also require tracks at the top and bottom so that the cases would move along a single line. Sort of like folding doors on a closet. Adding a motor might be more trouble than benefit, but as a man you can understand the need for more power lol.

Very impressive. Have you thought about adding a motor to open the doors with the push of a button? Just an idea.

Looks great! Your project has reminded me of all the ones in my garage that I need to get busy finishing.

Cool idea. Do you think that tool could be downsized for building sand-igloos at the beach? It doesn’t snow where I live and sand castles are fun to build.

Great! Now I have another fun project to do with items I was supposed to take for donations. Thank you so much for the great tutorial. I can’t wait to sand and season some of my old cast iron skillets that are sitting in the bottom of a kitchen cabinet somewhere.

This sort of thing might put my six-year-old out of business as my shop helper. He is great at sorting through boxes of mixed screws and putting them in their own tubs. One problem he has is determining brass from yellow metal, but he’s learning how to use his little magnet to separate them. Great machine building idea. I am envious of your skills.

I have a similar pirates chest that I am building but just haven’t had time to finish. Yours looks amazing and I applaud your use use of scrap lumber. One thing I did differently is that I started with a rectangular shaped ottoman that was being tossed. Then I used 1x4” lumber to build the chest around its frame. Saved me time and trouble.

Thank you. I enjoy making them as often as I can. Funny thing is my 8 year old daughter would eat them every night if she could. Feel free to adjust the recipe as needed and let me know how you have improved it to your tastes.
View Instructable »Sorry for taking so long to reply. I actually prefer beef ribs to pork ribs but my local grocery store doesn’t always have beef ribs available.

Thank you. I will try to fix the problem with the upload. This my first Instructable so I am still learning how to write them. I am making these today too. My daughter requested them for birthday dinner and she’s turning 8 years old. She likes them because she is missing some teeth and she can still eat these.

I agree with removing the membrane but I forgot to include it in this instructable. I have been cooking this way for years and have never had a problem with the membrane slowing anyone down with eating. Thanks for pointing this out though.

Thanks. I forgot to put that step in there but it’s something I usually do when cooking ribs.
Smoking them for 6-8 hours would seem about right. I haven’t used a smoker in years but I do enjoy the flavor it brings. With a gas grill and two Weber grills I don’t have room for much else on my back porch.

This seems so much more complicated than the way I used to solve a Rubik’s Cube with a hammer and screwdriver.

Interesting idea. I don’t have any of the equipment needed to make wooden tiles but I do have an old wooden Scrabble set that might get used to make them by hand. Also, I noticed that you say the first tile is “to lose”, I think you meant “too loose”.
