Wouldn't happen to be Bird's Eye chillies? They look small like those.I share your strange passion for the burning searing pain that accompanies a deliciously spicy chilli. Also, the idea of saving $20/kg on chilli from Woolies/Coles (which is generally not even spicy) is one of the best reasons to grow our own.I've heard this method of drying chillies discussed before, but have yet to try it. I live in sunny QLD, so in summer when I was harvesting an awful lot of chillies from my plants, I would just lay them on a pizza tray in the sun to dry. Unfortunately, doesn't work so well when you don't have 40 degree C days. Other things I have noticed that sometimes works well for drying chillies is to leave them in the door of the fridge (in the little plastic lidded box on top shelf). For so...

I was hesitant to watch the video as I thought to myself "watching the whole build!".Turned out that was one of the most gripping 12m39s of my life. I was enraptured for the entire clip. Had I been sitting on a chair, I would've been on the edge of it.Your skill with wood & your tools is amazing. Very nice work showing the process all the way through (I especially like how you sped it up so we could watch it quickly). Out of curiosity, how long did it actually take to make this cool secret-compartment table?Overall, very aesthetically pleasing product, and the hidden compartment works a treat.Loved your nines too. Quite exquisite. :)

You could possibly use silicon to join the pieces together & if joined thoroughly it would be leak proof (except out the bottle tops). Interesting project. Now to find a use for this haha. Thanks for sharing.

I had a serious problem with sleeping through alarms to the point that I wrote a small software that would run on the laptop as an alarm. It would go off like a siren & continue going off until you managed to wake up enough to type a 16 character random string of numbers/lowercase & uppercase letters into the box.Unfortunately, I worked out in my sleep that if I plug headphones into the headphone jack, no sound comes out the speakers.I think this idea of yours has merit, especially if you put the alarms at increasing distances from each other (e.g. enough distance that it takes you 30 seconds to 1 minute to reach the next device). That way, you would have to physically leave your bedroom to turn all the devices off, and by that time you are hopefully out in the sunlight or even ...
