Also, the screen wont show anything until it is programmed.
You will need to install an additional library (if you get errors about not having "SSD1306Wire.h"Go to the library manager and search esp8266-oled-ssd1306 and install the second one, the version 4.0. If the "more info" in the library manager button takes you to https://github.com/ThingPulse/esp8266-oled-ssd1306you've got the right library.
The programmer DOES NOT supply power, you need to have betteries inserted.Make sure to carefullyfollow the steps where it says turn the switch off, hold the button turn the switch on, and release it right before you hit the upload arrow in arduino. You need to do it in that order for it to work.
I made a demo program that shows most of the keyboard features for the digispark.
My signal generator kit didn't have the xr2206 chip or dip socket. How do I get a replacement?
I mean I have it hooked up to LEDS and output A flashes occasionally.
I have the mp503 hooked directly up to less according to the datasheet, but it alternates between both off and output b flashing. Is it supposed to flash either output pin or does it stay steady on? And if flashing is normal, why would it alternate between moderate and none according to the datasheet? Are the pins labelled correctly?
The frequency of the fm transmitter was all over the place in my kit. It DOES work, but touching it or moving it I could interfere with the entire FM spectrum.
WeMos didn't work for me either. I switched it out for one of the robotdyn UNO's from an earlier kit. It works perfectly.ALSO, Don't feel you need to only do 6x10 for the grid, You can set the rows and columns in the fireplace.ino to whatever you feel like. I did 5x12 because that fit a display case I had lying around, and it works splendidly.
Here's a 3d printable case perfect for the Wemos, LCD, and antenna.https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2579511
I made a clunky little 3D printable case for the project.https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2454605
For some reason I had to change the lineWiFi.softAP(ssid, NULL, 1, 0, 1);to WiFi.softAP(ssid, NULL, 1, 0);No idea why that line was like that in the code, but it works for me now.
Just something I've noticed:Many USB power banks shut off if the draw is too low after a minute or two. Put a phone or something else on the bank and see if it stays on.I can almost guarentee that the cloud is drawing so little current that the power supply is switching off because the load detector isn't tripping.
Yes, but that one has about twice the pins, it is indeed the same sim800l module, but the board we got doesn't have those pins made available.
That's what I needed to know, thanks. I also hear that there is an FM radio in the sim800l module, but I don't think the pins are accessible for that either...
Nevermind. I fixed it.
I get a boatload of errors, I can't compile HBcar.ino at all. What am I doing wrong here?
Solution Found: Start it up and pair, then turn the controller off.Hold X and start to turn it on again, when turned on this way, it defaults to MOUSE mode, the analog stick moves the cursor, the start button is a click (or double click) which WORKS with the cardboard apps.
It may only work for android though. It works fine on my galaxy s5.
