This is so wonderfully odt and extremely useful too. If you put it on Kickstarter I am sure you would get a Banian holder factory funded with the sponsoring...thanks, it’s great!

Search for inner tubes on Instructables, there is lots indeed.I don't burn them, the stench is horrible :-(

Great idea. Some bag companies have this on their bags by default (crumpled call it the „third leg“).Will remember this when in need (hopefully).

Just found this. Nice. Did a similar thing with a packing strap (non-elastic) as the headband and a cutoff of a bike inner tube to attach the torch to it (flashlight in US), both of which I have with me anyway when bike touring (yes I always have a bit of bike tube with me in addition to a complete inner tube - for multiple uses)keep it up!

instead of a mirror you could polish one side of the tin or the inside of the lid down to the metal. Use the finest finishing polish you can get, something like 8000 or finer. Protect from rusting with clear varnish and there you go. You have a signalling mirror.

I may be thinking about this in a much too German (=logical) way but isn't the bike in the end, well, obsolete? Or am I missing the point here?great project though, no pictures of a wet Captain 👩✈️?
