What a clever but simple idea that will save me considerable frustration!

Great project, beautifully and complehensively presented - thank you. I've had most of the bits (except the brilliant re-purposed housing) kicking around for many months and this'll be my first foray into Google Duo so lots of fun ahead!

Thanks for a really useful 'ible. I'd be inclined to use and anchor that relied on more than one screw. There are fittings available that comprise a tethered ring and a plate with holes for four substantial screws. And an obvious point - test the rig to make sure the ladder (or the rope attaching it to the tether) is long enough to allow you to reach the ground BEFORE you need to use it in anger/terror!

There's no need to spend a huge amount of money on a multimeter. A £15 model will do the job perfectly well.

What, no black pudding? Seriously though, this looks like a wonderful, heart-stopping way to start a Saturday or Sunday! A nice cup of tea or two and you'll not need to eat again until suppertime.

Haha - at first I wondered if it might be some sort of Art installation. Kinda "What happens to a chicken when a Chef (or Mortician) *doesn't* get to it in time"!
