as Tim the Tool Man would say...😱🤨😍
you were in the right direction with the cedar log and forstner bit. but cut the long into 2" pieces. than use the forster to creat a cup. you can use a handheld dremel like tool or whatever to round the cup. next build a small box with exterior plywood 1/4" is enough. with plenty of head space since the hummers will hover above the cup. use brass screws from underneath to attach the cup . the small box will act as a weather shield . I would only do one to see if your hummers will use it. needs to be placed in a fork tree but not high up , perhaps 6-8' .others are correct. hummers do not use birdhouses per se. i buy a package of loose cotton approved for birds from my local birding supply store. no chemicals, dyes etc. if you modify your house to accommodate wrens and chickadees…

great idea! I actually could use this for a non halloween project. I do lapidary and have collected a bunch of very transparent rocks of various colors. I want to do this with them but wasn't sure what to do with the cord and switch. now I do. thank you for posting
i forwarded this to a friend, great idea!
nice work and just in time for the greatest holiday of the year!I actually needed this for another project, I do lapidary and have collected together my most transparent rocks, planning on placing in a clear jar with the fairy lights . I was confused what to do with the on/off switch. The cord is brilliant way to conceal it. thank you for posting
you are the first I have seen to clamp both boards together to make the cuts at same time, I had already watched your video about making the advanced sled and loved it. you are right, easier box joint sled.
my KIDS are all goats, and I will tell you, they would love this! I would have to put in a wider heavier duty slide but thats just minor details
Nice job, i am looking at spray painting (leather stain) on my leather projects. Was trying to come up with ideas. Though i do not live in California and I use oil based stain, so off to internet to locate appropriate fan.Keep up the good work

If you paint, walls etc. wd40 will clean your hands of both latex & oil paints.....learned that from a professional painter...after use dawn to clean wd40 residue
Forgot, after you clean the underside of your lawn mower deck, spray it with wd40 and clean up any puddles of it with paper towel. It will allow easier cleaning of deck on next go round...
I am glad to see that you and others are using beautiful wood that is otherwise just burned in a pit.Glad the boiled linseed issue was brought up.I may check internet for food grade linseed oil.You do wonderful work
It's a cool device. Use it to catch those errant burglars as they try to flee!?.
These are great ideas! I buy the UNSCENTED ones and already use one or two of your ideas.Front of my car is coated with bugs, so off to clean them ??
Holy cow! Beautiful piece! Intricate work like that I can only dream of doing...sure hope you win
Question please.Where did you find the small vice pictured in first photo?I need one .And great work...very good ideas. A keeper project for sure
Nice up cycling idea!Nice work
Forgot to mention.Contact cement for leather would fo the trick. Might slso attack a piece across the length of inside face.
I agree with the flush fit of the vise. It adds stability to the piece you are working on.This item was well done, bravo for your workmanship and choice of tools. If your 9 year old nephew takes after his Uncle, he will be an awesome carpenter. What I like about your design...It can be upsized for adults with workshops that have limited space.

When packing you clothes in zip locks, Buy the double zip freezer bags in gallon or 2-2.5 gallon sizes.I don't roll. But fold flat. Place into zip lock, stacked and socks and undies to fill in along sides. (Don't over stuff)Than zip bag leaving an inch open. Fun part. Start rolling from bottom, but squish the air out as much as possible than zip remainder of zipper closed, at this point you can stop sitting on the bag.Voila! Much cheaper and better quality than the costly vacuum bags that constantly leak .Hint: the bags that have the zip do not work well, use the double (press together) type of bags.
For meds, i downsize from the bottles and pack 3 days more than my trip. I than take close up picks of the scripts on the bottle with all the info. If you have trouble remembering what each pill is, lay the bottle on its side(propped by cotton balls or whatever, than lay one pill on bottle before taking your picture.I store this on my phone and in the cloud service(in case phone goes kaput..
I love you man! Okay, well, perhaps its the workshop?.The table though is awesome!
