Great project. I built something similar. Two comments; 1) While the harbor Freight bins are ok and inexpensive, the ones from Stanley are better constructed.

Interesting project. I have a few questions;- Do you mean by "blocking ads" that the clickbait ads that, for example, I see throughout your instructable will be removed?- How are ads detected? All network traffic routed through the Raspberry Pi? Will that cause a bottleneck and network slowdown?- Might there be false positives?

I made mine out of aluminum stock. Pros: easier to cut, MUCH easier to bend. Cons: dents easily (especially in a vise), don't use a bench grinder (clogs) - use a file. Both materials need painting to prevent clothes staining and/or rusting - I used a clear coat.

Besides dielectric grease (auto parts stores, 3M makes a good version) you can use petroleum jelly smeared onto the base of the bulb.
