I use 3x reading glasses to do SMT. Cheap and works great! I'm planning to do a hot plate soldering technique for the project, haven't experimented with that much before.
using OSX - Having one heck of a time getting the esp-idf example app to compile. I try 'make menuconfig' and get the followingNTCH-A114-NQ2LV:myapp jkittle$ make menuconfigcc -DCURSES_LOC="<curses.h>" -DKBUILD_NO_NLS -Wno-format-security -DLOCALE -c -o mconf.o mconf.cerror: unable to open output file 'mconf.o': 'Permission denied'1 error generated.make: *** [mconf.o] Error 1make: *** [/Users/jkittle/esp/esp-idf/tools/kconfig/mconf] Error 2NTCH-A114-NQ2LV:myapp jkittle$
I'm a little scared to try this actually. Even though we're powering the RC522 from the 3.3v regulator on the arduino, we're still connecting the logic lines at 5v. Am I missing something, or is this a bad idea? Nowhere in the datasheet did I get the impression the SPI interface was 5v tolerant. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
Has anybody got the ELM327 working? The posted link to application is for IOS/Android (and I dont see how we can use this on IOS because at least from my reading, ios devices dont support serial over bluetooth)... so are we stuck android only? I've successfully paired the unit to my macboook pro but neither app I tried could connect to it here either. I've tried EOBD Facile and OBD Auto Doctor
